Diploma (ACD) Option
Are you considering starting a career in a technical field? If so, you have the option to earn your high school diploma alongside technical college credentials such as two technical certificates, one technical diploma, or one associate degree in a specific high-demand career pathway through dual enrollment within the Technical College System of Georgia.
Available pathways include Aircraft Structural Technology, CAD-Industrial Maintenance Technology, Carpentry, Cybersecurity, HVAC, Automotive Technology, Criminal Justice, Avionics Technology, Dental Assisting, Computer Programming, Diesel Technology, Design, and Media Production.
Classes you need to take in the high school before you start the Accelerated Career Diploma (ACD) include:
Once you complete the nine classes listed above, you are eligible to start the ACD program at a technical college, such as Chat Tech. Imagine, if a rising 9th grader takes Health/Fitness over the summer and then four classes in semester one and four classes in semester two, you could be ready to start the ACD Dual Enrollment Program at the
beginning of 10th grade.
